The goal of DataGrid is to overcome the differences between data sources, let people use data in a easier and simpler way.

Has DartGrid been used in any real project?

Yes. The China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine has adopted DartGrid as their data integration solution. See TcmGrid. This site is still under develop and test. Several other organization also show their interests in DartGrid.
